Fruit Festival at Khulna University Graduate Club: A Celebration of Nature, Nostalgia & Togetherness
Date: 5 July 2024
Organised by: Khulna University Graduate Club (KUGCL)
On 5th July 2024, the Khulna University Graduate Club (KUGCL) transformed into a vibrant oasis of colours, flavours, and festive cheer as members gathered to celebrate one of the most refreshing events of the year—the Fruit Festival 2024. The occasion brought together graduates, families, and well-wishers for a delightful afternoon of seasonal indulgence, laughter, and community bonding.
A Festival Honouring the Bounty of Bangladesh
Bangladesh’s rich assortment of summer fruits is a gift of nature, and the Fruit Festival embraced this gift wholeheartedly. Long tables beautifully decorated with baskets of fruits welcomed participants to a feast that included:
• Juicy mangoes of multiple varieties
• Sweet pineapples
• Refreshing watermelons
• Lichis, jackfruit, guavas, and bananas
• Local favourites like blackberries, palm fruit, and more
Each fruit station offered a slice of nostalgia, reminding many of childhood summers spent enjoying these seasonal delights.
A Gathering of Smiles and Stories
Members of the KUGCL community—both senior graduates and young professionals—came together in a setting that fostered camaraderie and connection. The festival wasn’t just about eating fruits; it was about sharing memories, exchanging stories, and celebrating the bond that ties Khulna University graduates together across generations.
A Touch of Culture and Creativity
To elevate the festival experience, the programme also included:
• Cake cutting
• Light music
• Fruit-themed displays
These segments enriched the atmosphere and highlighted the creativity and enthusiasm of members.
Leadership & Teamwork Behind the Event
The Fruit Festival was made possible by the meticulous planning and dedication of the Khulna University Graduate Club (KUGCL) leadership. Their passion for community engagement was reflected in every detail—from event management to hospitality.
The teamwork of volunteers, organisers, and enthusiastic participants ensured that the festival ran smoothly and left lasting memories for everyone present.
An Event to Remember
The Fruit Festival 2024 was more than an event; it was a celebration of community, culture, and the shared identity of being part of the Khulna University family. With refreshing flavours, warm friendships, and heartfelt moments, it became an afternoon of joy that attendees will cherish for years to come.
As the sun set on the day’s celebrations, one thing was clear: KUGCL continues to uphold its commitment to fostering unity, tradition, and meaningful engagement among graduates.
Here’s to more events that bring us together—cheers to community, nature, and the spirit of Khulna University!
